Tim DeMoss is an Environmental Affairs Officer for the Air Quality Section in the Port of Los Angeles’ Environmental Management Division. Currently, Mr. DeMoss manages a team of 3 dedicated and hardworking Environmental Specialists and one Environmental Supervisor in managing projects which involve reducing air emissions from the five major Port sources (ships, trucks, trains, cargo handling equipment and harbor craft) that move freight into and out of the Ports. The Air Quality Section’s latest and greatest efforts have been focused on procuring large grant funding awards to demonstrate and deploy zero and near-zero emission cargo handling equipment and on-road trucks at the Port and throughout the region.
While Mr. DeMoss has been a Port of Los Angeles employee for over 16 years, he has managed environmental projects and efforts involving hazardous waste, solid waste, water quality, and air quality for the City of Los Angeles throughout the last 32 years.
